Welcome to The Cozy Couch — I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Christina Trindade, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) serving clients in both California and Idaho. I have been honored to support individuals and couples on their journeys since 2019, and I truly look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy is deeply relational. Finding the right therapist matters, and it’s important that you feel aligned, safe, and comfortable with the person you choose to sit across from. My hope is that this space feels welcoming, supportive, and just that — cozy.
How My Story Shaped My Work
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. I grew up watching my dad care for people every day as a chiropractor, and I was drawn to that same sense of connection and purpose. I initially pursued nursing after high school, but after taking a Psychology 101 course, I realized my heart was leading me in a different direction. Psychology felt like home. Looking back, it feels fitting — I spent many recesses sitting on the playground bench with friends lined up, waiting to talk. In many ways, that was a glimpse of what was to come.
A Little About Me
Those who know me often describe me as bubbly, joyful, respectful, and tender-hearted. If we ever happen to be in the same coffee shop, there’s a good chance you’ll recognize me by my distinctive laugh. I have two fur babies, JD and Pongo, who occasionally make an appearance in conversation. Outside of therapy, I enjoy coffee, reading, painting pottery, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Above all, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside individuals and couples as they navigate growth, healing, and change.
